Crowned

In 2016, “Crowned” was born—a deeply personal and prophetic journey with Jesus during one very challenging season of my life.
It began with a blank canvas and a simple question to God: “What would You like me to paint? What would You like to say? What colours should I begin with?”
The answer came gently but clearly: “Magenta and green.” So that’s where we started.
As I painted, Holy Spirit began to guide every stroke. Together, we created a crown—one of absolute splendour. It was rich with symbolism: rivers of life, radiant gold, glistening jewels, and textures I could barely capture because they were alive. The crown was alive! There was fire. There was growth—lush, vibrant, and green. It was overwhelming in beauty and spiritual depth, far beyond what I could fully express with paint.
I was being shown a heavenly crown— A symbol of identity, restoration, and divine purpose.
A promise in the middle of a tough journey that I was not alone and that everything I was going through was not in vain.
During an earlier conversation with the Lord, He spoke something that landed deep in my spirit: “Beck, I want to use your voice and creativity for healing. I will give you the songs, but for now, I want you to paint a picture. Later, I’ll give you the details.”
The instruction was clear: Don’t try to understand it. Just paint.
The finished painting eventually became the cover art for my very first song release in 2016 which you are very welcome to listen to here.
Now, as it sits in my home,
it stands as a personal reminder of the calling on my life—to create with God, to trust His timing, and to share the healing He brings. Holy Spirit whispered in my ear: “A crown of beauty instead of ashes.” — Isaiah 61
It’s been nearly 10 years since I painted this download and it has been a wild ride to say the least. That beautiful reminder to look for the beauty has sustained me and does to this day.
The instruction is still as simple as it ever was:
“Don’t try to figure it all out. Just paint. With me.”
